Cleve & Districts Emergency Management Plan
The District Council of Cleve is committed to taking measures to protect its area from natural and other hazards and to reduce the effects of such hazards. The Council has therefore updated the current Local Disaster Plan to incorporate a more detailed plan which is derived from the District Council of Tumby Bays Emergency Management Plan.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Phil Cameron, Councillor Bryan Trigg & Council Employee Emma Harvey commenced an emergency management project by forming a working committee within Council to update the Local Disaster Plan.
SAPOL facilitated a desktop procedure to test the plan with the Committee. This was very successful.
The final EMP was developed in collaboration with Cleve Council, Emergency Services, the Community, the Local Government Association and risk specialists from the region.
