Our Australia Day Ambassador for 2019 is Dr Victoria Cox.

Victoria is a medical doctor who graduated from the University of Adelaide with First Class Honours in 2014. As a General Sir John Monash Scholar, she is completing the MPhil in Evidence Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation at the University of Oxford. Victoria has a clinical interest in dermatology and her long-term goal is to influence policy to improve healthcare delivery in Australia. Continuing her research with the DPhil in Primary Health Care at Oxford, Victoria will focus on the challenges and opportunities for digital healthcare interventions in low socioeconomic settings.

An accomplished swimmer, she became the 7th person to complete the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming in one season, including swimming the English Channel in 12 hours in August 2017. Victoria achieved a Full Blue in Swimming at Oxford in 2017 and was the 2018 Open Water Swimming Captain for the Biennial Cross Channel Varsity Swim.
