The Arno Bay Progress Association produced this award winning Estuary Boardwalk which is very popular with residents and visitors. The boardwalk is designed to showcase the diverse and pristine beauty of the Arno Bay estuary, winding through dense mangroves, mudflats and samphire with grass habitats over small tributaries alongside the main estuary waterway.
The mangrove boardwalk offers a safe swimming area, recreational fishing and kayaking opportunitities, as well as wheelchair access, picnic and barbecue and toilet facilities. The boardwalk has won a number of awards including the Outstanding Environmental Tourism Project award, SA Great award and Environment and Sustainability award.
