Cleve Accommodation Units Draft Plans

Council is proposing to progress recommendation 1 from that report, ‘the establishment of 4 self-contained units to be constructed at the corner of Third Street and the Birdseye Highway (Main Street)'. The units are the commencement of a longer term objective to address the issue that Cleve currently offers the lowest amount of accommodation per capita of any of the major towns on the Eyre Peninsula.

The $600,000 project is supported by the State Government who has contributed $120,000 to the project through the State Local Government Infrastructure Partnership. 

The 2 bedroom units offer a point of difference from existing accommodation in Cleve and it is therefore anticipated that the units will compliment rather than compete with existing providers. This initiative received strong community support throughout the feasibility study and Council is now seeking comment on the draft plans below.
