Cleve can now experience the nbn network

The future of Australia’s broadband is here!

Residents and business owners in Cleve can now experience fast broadband over the nbn™ network with the official switch on of the nbn™ network in the area. More than 500 families and businesses are now able to connect to the nbn™ network and start enjoying all the benefits of fast and reliable broadband.

It also gives Australians the opportunity to be more productive, more creative, more efficient and more connected for decades to come.

What you need to do to connect to services over the nbn™ network

1. Check whether your premises is ready to connect at www.nbn.com.au/check.

2. Contact a phone or internet service provider about switching to a plan over the nbn™ access network.

3. If your premises isn’t ready to connect yet, register for email updates at www.nbn.com.au/register

4. Find a list of providers at www.nbn.com.au/serviceproviders

 

For the business of the future

The nbn™ access network is Australia’s exciting new internet and landline phone network. It’s designed to give your business fast and reliable internet and phone services, no matter where you work.

Getting connected

nbn is actually a wholesaler, so you’ll need to contact your phone or internet service provider to make the switch. Standard installations are usually free of charge, but remember to check with your provider.

Choosing the right speed on the nbn™ network

The nbn™ speed tiers give your business several speeds to choose from. These range from standard speeds (nbn™ 25*, nbn™ 50* and nbn™ 100*) all the way through to business grade speeds.

Important considerations

• Important devices: Check with your device provider that devices such as ATMs, EFTPOS, fax machines, monitored security alarms, fire alarms or lift emergency phones will work on the nbn™ network.

• Additional wiring/cabling: If you’d like additional outlets at your business to connect to services over the nbn™ network, discuss this with your service provider as there may be costs associated.

• Installation time: You will need to be available at your business on the day of installation. Your service provider will advise how long this should take and will aim to ensure minimal disruption to your business.

• Speed requirements: Talk to your service provider about a plan and speed to suit your business’ usage and needs.

Switch your business in three easy steps:

1. Check your address: To find out if your business can connect, visit www.nbn.com.au/business . If it isn’t available yet, just register for email updates and we’ll let you know when your business is ready to connect.

2. Prepare your business: Use the nbn™ Business Readiness Checklist and other supporting tools at www.nbn.com.au/checklist to get your business ready for the nbn™ network.

3. Contact your preferred provider: You won’t be connected to services over the nbn™ access network automatically, so get in touch with a preferred phone or internet service provider to discuss your connection.
