Mental Health Services

The Cleve and Districts Mental Health and Wellbeing group was established in September 2015 by passionate people drawn together and enthusiastic in building a stronger and healthier community. The volunteer group wants to provide health promotions and initiatives which will increase community awareness of mental illness and improve mental, social and emotional wellbeing for all. Physical Health Services

NJF Wellness

NJF Wellness provide Exercise Physiology services to Cleve and the surrounding community. Leah Forrest, Clinical Exercise Physiologist works out of the new Gym Works Cleve facilities, which is equipped with some fantastic equipment. Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are university qualified allied health professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities.

Some pathology domains include:

• Cardiovascular
• Metabolic
• Neurological
• Musculoskeletal
• Cancers
• Kidney health
• Respiratory / Pulmonary
• Mental Health

Services available:

• 1:1 sessions bulk billed through a GP referral / Care plan for those with a chronic condition
• Type Two diabetes bulk billed 9 week program through a GP referral
• Department of Veteran Affairs Bulk billed services through a GP referral
• Private (Patients are able to access substantial rebates with the majority of health funds)
• NDIS Currently self funded clients only
• Work cover / third party insurance
• Mat based Pilates

Cleve Gym Works

Cleve Gym Works is a 24/7 community gym, run by a committee of volunteers. The gym provides a space for fitness and healthcare specialists to practice within our community, as well as catering for fitness enthusiasts of all capabilities. The Cleve Gym Works facility uses a swipe card system with visitor cards available for $20 + $25 weekly gym pass (or $10 per casual visit). Visitors can collect a form from the Council Office and return it, completed, to Council. Forms can also be downloaded at the link below. A temporary swipe card will then be arranged.
