Searches are to be requested by emailing council@cleve.sa.gov.au
A certificate of title must be provided for full Section 7 searches in order for Council to process the search request.
A Section 7 (Full Search) search includes:
- Rates certificate (certificate of liabilities) - rates levied for current financial year and any outstanding rates balance
- Environmental Health – details of any relevant notices issued
- Development assessment – listing and supporting decision notification forms for approved development applications with ongoing conditions
A Section 187 (Rates only) search includes:
- Rates certificate (certificate of liabilities) - rates levied for current financial year and any outstanding rates balance
Search Prices
Search prices are set by State Government effective from 1 July 2026:
- Section 187 Rates Certificate $42.75
- Section 7 Full Council Search $73.25
- Urgent Section 7 Full Council Search $88.25
Terms
All Searches expire at the end of the financial year. For the new financial year rates, you will need to order a Section 187 in the next financial year period.
Verbal Section 187 updates are provided free within 3 months of your original Search, if it’s within the same financial year. If your original Search was ordered in June there is a 1-month grace period to get new Rates for the next financial year.
TimeframesSection 187 and 7 searches are electronically delivered within 8 business days of receipt of application.
Urgent Section 7 searches are electronically delivered within 24 hours of receipt of application.
