The Carappee Hill Hiking Trail is located in the Carappee Hill Conservation Park at Darke Peak. Access to the trail is on Carappee Hill Road. The parking area is on the left roadside and can be quite hard to see, with minimal signage available. The trail itself is fully marked. The hike is approximately 4km return with a steep incline. Carappee Hill is the most extensive exposed granite on the Eyre Peninsula
Upon reaching the top, there is a monument marking Carappee Hill and the height above sea level - the highest point on the Eyre Peninsula! Keep an eye out for the box at the top and be sure to leave your name in the visitors book inside.
Enjoy the best views of the upper Eyre Peninsula over the 850 hectares of of native bushland and dramatic scenery on your hike. For the less experienced, you can find the trail marked on the Avenza mobile app which works without phone service.

Carappee Hill is a conservation park therefore dogs are not allowed at the hiking trail and campground.
