Facility type: Tourist Attraction; Walking Trail
The Yeldulknie Hiking Trail is located in the Yeldulknie Conservation park and can be accessed from Mangalo Road. The Yeldulknie Conservation Park was proclaimed on 21 September 1989 in an effort to protect approximately 3283 hectares of Mallee Woodlands, and in particular the Senna Wattle (Acacia praemorsa). There is an abundance of flora and fauna to see on the trails, more information on the park and the trails can be found in the car park adjacent to the trail.

Bushwalking involves risks and should be undertaken with care and regard for the conditions at all times. Trails are subject to natural forces and vary over time. This may make trail use more challenging. When the fire danger rating is catastrophic, extreme or severe, or on days of total fire ban, the Yeldulknie Conservation Park will be closed for the safety of everyone. On these days, the safest place to be is away from bushfire prone areas. Please check the CFS website at cfs.sa.gov.au or call 1800 362 361 for information on fire danger ratings, fire bans, current warnings and incidents. The local ABC radio station may also broadcast information about current incidents (639AM).

Enjoy your hike!
